In House Bloods + Imaging

We can get thorough results fast, even after hours.
With our comprehensive in-house laboratory we can get results in minutes to help determine why your pet is unwell. This includes assessment of renal and liver function and testing for snake bite – so if we need to, we can get onto treatment immediately, and prevent a critical situation.

With expert know how, and a high end ultrasound unit we are able to diagnose and report on complex cases in-house. ACE’s high frequency x-ray table and digital processing technology allows for rapid diagnostics of both orthopedic and soft tissue conditions.

ACE’s C-arm fluroscope (OEC Elite MiniView), is the only one of its kind in the veterinary industry in Australia. This brand new technology uses less radiation and allows us to see continuous real time x-rays while aiding minimally invasive surgery – such as fracture repair.

Trauma: Stabilisation + Surgery + Aftercare

Complete care for your injured pet.
In the case of an emergency, we can provide all pre, intra and post operative care for your pet including high end anaesthesia and analgesia. For example: emergencies such minimally invasive (MIPO) fracture repair from road trauma; foreign body removal; hemorrhage or gastric dilation and volvulus (GDV), we can provide initial stabilisation, advanced in-house surgical procedures through to excellent in-house aftercare.

Flexible Endoscopy

Flexible endoscopy is a powerful diagnostic tool and non-invasive procedure in small animal emergency cases.
Our flexible endoscopes (containing tiny video cameras) provide the unique ability to reach cavities and internal organs not visible to the naked eye. They allow for non invasive investigation of symptoms, diagnosis of disease and directed therapies. For example: At ACE we can remove oesophageal / gastric foreign bodies such as bones, fish hooks and plastics quickly and non-invasively, in an emergency situation.
